Who am I?
Call me Velvet, pronouns they/them! I'm 24, and I spend my days working tech support and having way too many hobbies. I'm usually way too shy to post on social media, so this is pretty much the only web presence I have.
I could write up a whole blurb about likes, hobbies, favorite things. . . but it's all here, or it's going to be soon. Click around, and you'll get an idea. Websites are direct reflections of the webmasters, after all.
Why the website?
When I was younger, I had this dream of making a homepage that would link to all of my favorite websites. Then I sat down to try, and confused myself by ignoring the basics. It was all over once I settled for IE's bookmarks bar.
It's been over a decade since then. The web gets so much smaller when you frequent the same handful of major sites. With the indie web movement rising, I think it's high time to revive that idea of a homepage now that I have the ability to pull it off.
